Sanford Spinners Welcome Back Cornerstone K9 as Official Uniform Sponsor for Upcoming Season

The Sanford Spinners are proud to announce the return of Cornerstone K9 as the team’s Official Uniform Sponsor for the upcoming season, continuing a strong and impactful partnership that has become a cornerstone of the Spinners experience. 

Cornerstone K9 has established itself as one of the organization’s premier partners, playing a vital role both on and off the field. In addition to their presence on the team’s uniforms, Cornerstone K9 is also the official sponsor of the on deck circle and has helped create one of the most memorable in game attractions, Murphy the Bat Dog. 

Murphy has become a fan favorite at Spinners games, consistently drawing excitement from the crowd with his bat retrieving skills and energetic presence. His performances have added a unique layer of entertainment that resonates with families and fans of all ages. 

Last year, Murphy & Jeff, were called up to the MILB for the Chicago White Sox affiliate team, the Winston-Salem Dash.  Murphy is entering his second year in 2026 under contract with the Dash.  So, Jeff has trained a new dog to be the bat dog starting this year, Mickey the Bat Dog!  Mickey is named after Mickey Mantle and is a red fox colored Labrador Retriever.  Just turning 1 year old recently, Mickey is the youngest bat dog in baseball! 

Beyond sponsorship, the relationship between the Spinners and Cornerstone K9 has grown into a true partnership built on shared values and a commitment to community. 

“Over the past few years, Jeff and I have built something that goes well beyond business,” said Spinners owner Al Anderson. “He’s been a passionate supporter of this team from day one. We’ve spent countless hours throughout each season exchanging ideas and pushing each other to make the experience better for our fans. What started as a partnership has turned into a friendship. We share similar backgrounds, especially in public service and as volunteer firefighters, and that connection has made working together even more meaningful. I’m incredibly grateful to have Jeff as part of our program and for the time and resources he continues to invest in the success of this team.” 

Jeff Allen, a longtime Sanford resident and respected K9 trainer, recently expanded his business with the opening of Cornerstone K9 Dog Supplies in Raleigh, NC. His continued involvement with the Spinners reflects both his dedication to the local community and his passion for the game day experience.
