SANFORD SPINNERS CLOSE OUT 2025 SEASON AFTER HARD-FOUGHT PLAYOFF BATTLE
The Sanford Spinners wrapped up their 2025 season on July 24th following a tightly contested 3–1 playoff loss to the Lexington Flying Pigs. Though the season has ended, the Spinners proved they belonged in the postseason conversation and pushed the league’s top seed to the limit.
This year’s squad delivered an exciting season filled with memorable moments, strong team chemistry, and visible player development. Head Coach Palme led a committed group of athletes who brought competitive, high-character baseball to Lee County all summer.
The Sanford Spinners organization would like to acknowledge:
The players, for their hard work and sportsmanship on and off the field.
The coaching staff, for their time and dedication to player growth.
Our front office and gameday team, whose behind-the-scenes work kept operations running smoothly.
Our sponsors and community partners, whose support made this season possible.
And most of all, our fans, whose energy and loyalty created an unforgettable ballpark experience.
Special recognition goes to:
Jeff Allen of Cornerstone K9 for his standout contributions, including the support of “Murphy the Bat Dog” and uniform sponsorship.
Central Carolina Hospital, proud sponsor of our on-field hats.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, who kept our players fed and our fans satisfied all season long.
As we close the book on 2025, the entire Spinners organization is already preparing for next summer. The foundation built this season fuels even greater aspirations for 2026.
Thank you, Sanford. We'll see you at the ballpark.
